I want passion here. I don't want you to say yeah because I have Jesus in my heart, or only God knows. I want passion in the answer. What makes you feel you have earned enough or haven't. The answer I choose as best will not necessarily be what I believe but who show the most passion in their answer.

Really good question!!!

As a muslim, i know i'm giving my 100%, following fards and sunnah - counting on my good deeds to be accepted (primarily good deeds i do to myself, and then to the others) ......... BUT, am i really giving my 100%? Are any of us giving the maximum? I can only say that i'm doing my best to be worthy of His mercy and that my prayers are aimed at His forgiveness.

Our beloved prophet (pbuh) once asked someone ''What is the deed u count on most to be ur key to heaven?'' ......... that man answered ''Celebrating His name!''

If i were to die today, i would spend every minute i have left in praise of our Creator and in asking forgiveness from Him - for those bad deeds i'm aware of and for those that i'm not even conscious of.

Assalamo alaikom!

You are asking a question and then telling us how to answer. The answer you don't want is the only answer a true Christian can give you. The only way to heaven is to ask Christ into your heart and believe that you are saved through grace by faith. The Bible specifically says that works are of man and that man boasts about his works. You simply cannot work your way into heaven. So, you won't pick my answer as best answer but it is a true answer. I am very passionate about Christ and I do good works because of my salvation but my good works won't get me into heaven.

You really made me think about this issue sister. I honestly don't know what the answer is. As Muslims we do our best to live an honorable life according to the sunnah but make those occasional mistakes of hurting somebody's feelings or doing something stupid or harbor feelings of jealousy, anger, hatred or spite, common human failings.

I am not afraid to die because I know that death will be the logical conclusion to this life. I only pray that Allah forgives us our sins, those that we do knowingly or unknowingly, has mercy on us and grants us Paradise.

Peace to you sister.

no i don't think i have. i have been giving this unbelievable blessing of Islam and have fallen short of its requirements. a couple months ago a man pushed me in front of a train and called me a terrorist (i tell this story a lot b/ it has a strong effect on me) and i allowed him to take a piece of my faith. i used to wear the hijab strong and proud.... now i try to find styles that will let me blend in with our society. i think acting as though i'm ashamed of the beautiful gift i was given is the worst thing i've ever done.

they say you know you're a believer when your good actions please you and your bad actions displease you.... but "belief is not synonymous with iman. iman is a certainty of the heart that produces an action on the limbs." while i do have a great deal of belief i feel my iman is lacking and that is why i would likely not be given Paradise if i died today.

asalamwalaikum

Friend there is no way anyone can EARN their salvation for Heaven, Yes there is works we have to do after our salvation, But those works is dead without faith, No one deserves Heaven, But Jesus Christ made a way for us, We were not worthy of his Love & grace & mercy. I am what I am only by the mercy & grace of God.

Well you might be a man interested in 'passion' per se, but I am me, not you.
I am not the least interested in getting your best answer award. That is your life to live.
I want God's best answer ... and my best answer, and it will be brief, and to the point, as there is much in life to do here.

No!!

High heaven is hard to be earned. Unless we really do something totally selfless that bring great benefits to mankind throughout its generations, high heaven will still be far off.
