Since there are a number of conditions that can lead to the loss of a toenail, please do not try to self-diagnose or diagnose from what people tell you at this site.
You need to go to your primary care doctor, who may order some tests or who may be able to diagnose your case and prescribe a remedy by just looking at your toe.

If you stubbed your toe, or dropped something on it, and the toe is not broken, and if the toe nail is black, then it will grow back
if the nail is gone, it could get infected, so go to a doctor.

Have you lost the whole thing? If its's just part of it it will grow back. If you've lost all of it i'd go the the doctors as it could get infected.

hmm, just cover it i rekon and it will grow back. i lost my fingernail wen i was a little child and i think they put glue or sumthin on it nt quite sure and it grew back! x bt dnt try the glue cause im nt sure lol

Most often it will grow back - in rare instances - ooops it may not
