Faith is the antithesis of rational thought. This is why so many religious leaders actively preach against rational thought and even advanced education. They realize that rational thought and education can destroy religious faith and result in fewer followers for them.

Just because something is believed to be true by faith doesn't prove that this thing is either true or false. If we have faith that there's a tiger in the forest and it happens that there really is a tiger in the forest, does that make the existence of that tiger untrue because of your faith.
Faith is one thing. Truth is another.

there is much knowledge that is false and so own it`s own knowledge is not infallible,but knowledge that incorporates revealed truth and especially pertaining to God`s revealed truth is the ultimate knowledge and in the context of spirituality some aspects of this revealed knowledge may be so far above our limited understanding that faith is required and faith accepts the real truth.
