It depends on how you're cooking it.

A suggestion which sounds strange but tastes nice is to lay filleted white fish in a baking tray, season to taste and then cover with thinly sliced apple and then grate cheese over the top, bake in the oven until the fish is done. Serve with broccoli and buttered carrots.

Yummy.

Depends what fish your cooking really, but got a few suggestions anyway. Minted new potatoes are always good, or you can do 'smashed' new potatoes which are nive too - basically boiled new potatoes with the skin on which are sort of crushed with a wooden spoon. Jacket potato is always good. At a restaurant recently had tiny cubed roasted potatoes which were lovely.

With regards to the veg, you could have leeks in cheese sauce, roasted meditteranean vegetables, stuffed peppers, you could grill those great big flat muchrooms and melt some stilton in them.

If you don't want potatoes but do what veg, why don't you try mashed of creamed vegetables? At this time of year there are loads of suitable vegetables in season, so could do carrots, swede, butternut squash, parsnips, etc. And sweet potatoes are absolutely lovely and much better for you than normal potatoes. Try them either mashed with some spring onions or cut them into wedges, spray with oil and roast for about an hour.

Whatever you have - enjoy!

Final thought - have some cous cous. Takes literally 2 minutes to cook and is delicious.

Hi

I eat fish for most meals but my favourite veg at the moment is a nice quick frozen pack of roasted vegetables that you just roast in the oven for about 20 minutes with some olive oil - delicious!

Otherwise you could use my other favourites - baby sweetcorn and sugarsnap peas plus some spicy rice.

Just NOT baked beans ....

Bon appetit!

Depends what kind of fish you are cooking. You could buy some coconut milk and add garlic and chillies to taste, then add some peppers, broccoli and onion and serve with some rice. Really easy to make but remember and cook off your veg a wee bit first.

Yum!

Depends what fish you are cooking. With Tuna steak, I tend to have a home made salsa and sweet potato, peppers, cougettes and similar baked in olive oil.

With Smoked fish i make homemade fish cakes.

With small bits of salmon/cod/haddock I make a fish pie with veg.

Ummmm, with some fish i make a curry.

depends on how you cook the fish. If it's fried, then fries would go good, potato salad, garden salad, grits, if you are southern. If it's baked, garden salad, rice pilaf, steamed veggies, vermicilli noodles w/ olive oil; and if it's grilled, garden salad, grilled aspargus or other kind of veggies, twice mashed potatoes (sorry). Serve all w/ fav bread. Good luck.

Why don't you serve a rice dish? Maybe pilaf. English peas for the veg. I also like asparagus with a lobster cream sauce.

some nice fine green beans (fresh, not tinned or frozen) should go nice with most types of fish.
why not potatoes tho? a little herby mash would look great and accompany the fish well.

rice goes well and then depending on the fish you are cooking you can add different flavours, colours (saffron) & spices to it.
Butter and garlic goes well in rice with white fish, Thai Sweet Chilli goes well with red snapper, lemon goes well with seabass and seabream. Just make sure the rice isn't cooked for too long otherwise it's clumpy & gross.
