2004 i had a sore on my breast they told me 2 go 2 da nearest hospital 2 check but i never went.

Doesnt matter how long you wait, it WONT fix itself. Doctors are not GOD. If you dont tell them, they cant fix it. GO TO THE DOCTOR! You may be worrying about nothing and even if you have got cancer, the earlier they treat it, the better your chances. Please, please, dont wait! and GOOD LUCK>

First of all, it may or may not be breast cancer. Characteristics which indicate malignancy include pain, a fixed mass, fast rate of growth, and changes in the skin overlying the mass. For example, there may be an orange-peel appearance to it, a depression in the skin, or even ulceration. Check also for masses in your underarm region as this is the first route of spread. Your doctor may do a fine needle aspiration biopsy, but most cases will eventually need an excisional biopsy. If the mass is indeed malignant, he will probably offer you a modified radical mastectomy (breast removal including all the draining lymph nodes) plus chemotherapy. If it is a benign mass, a lumpectomy (removal of the mass only) is the only thing indicated. At present, breast cancer is one of the most curable cancers (although this ultimately depends on the stage at which you are diagnosed). The higher the stage, the more the cancer has spread. Hoping for the best.

get an ultrasound on the breast.
if the lump is questionable, then have a biopsy done.
