It's obvious from childrens actions that they aren't inherently "good" and must be taught the proper way to respect people, even if it means not getting their own way.
So, from this, can we deduce that children are born "evil" and must be taught that being "good" is a human desire?

Satan, surely that just shows that you taught your children well? I commend you for that, I know children that wouldn't think twice before "borrowing" something from someone without asking.

No, they are not!!!! They are inherently "good" and its not so much that they need to be taught the proper way to respect people as this is the way we are socially conditioned by our parents to behave the way they see fit but a child knows more about sharing and giving than adults do because you will also see children are willing to help achieve results EG. a child will attempt too carry their own plate from the dinner table in an attempt to help mummy. If the child was to drop the plate chances are more than 50% of people will scold the child, we learn by doing something repetitiously if we have bad habits or attitudes we've been taught them, as children, are sponges for information.

No, they're not born evil
They're just lack of awareness
And don't know what to do
Even if you teach kids kindness, morals and values
If they choose to be bad when they grow up
then there's nothing you can do
The parents can influence the kids to be good or bad
The mind is still not fully develop and still need information what is good or bad
Like a computer can't run if there is nothing installed
Do you think you can use a computer if there was nothing install in it? You must install the windows program so can use it
But ok if you program it in the wrong way it wont work properly but you program correctly the computer runs smoothly but I'm saying we are computers that can be formatted or delete files from your brain.
We have free will to choose what we accept and reject

I disagree with the fact besides. to declare a toddler is "born an atheist" is smacking a label on them. i'm getting that till they're at an age the place they are able to fathom and decide their theory they might "look" atheist, yet i do no longer see it that way. they're only little ones void of the techniques as a thank you to declare a toddler is born atheist is the comparable as asserting a toddler is born Catholic. they don't seem to be able to make that selection yet. only like little ones are not born as the different label. as a manner to be an atheist you first would desire to attain there's a mythological god to reject interior society. a toddler can no longer reject what they do no longer understand because of the fact they don't comprehend what that's.

To quote the theistic philosopher baby Jesus Jones on the subject: "There is no good, no evil, only me." Or, in the words of Clawfinger: "When I grow up, there will be a day, that everybody has to do it my way". In other words still: I don't think there is an answer to this question, as there is no such thing as good or evil, only perceptions. If only I had time to elaborate, but I'm too busy headbanging.

As a mother of 3 children, I believe quite the opposite. They were born innocent and good. As they have gotten older they become disrespectful, but as a parent it is my job to teach them to be respectful. They are a product of their environment, and if they see me or their father being respectful and loving they in turn will see what is acceptable. Sure, because they are humans they test us, but we take the time to show them where they are wrong and correct the problem.

Not at all.
They all bear the seeds of goodness, and a proper education is responsible for the healthy development of these seeds. A proper education means the physical, intellectual and spiritual lessons given by a perfect Educator, a Messenger of the One True God.
No man can turn evil into goodness, no man can turn darkness into light.

Not sure you are using the right word, the Bible says "foolishiness is bound up in the heart of a child". Perhaps evil is not quite right. The bible says "the love of money is the root of all evil".

Why do you think that children are inherently good? Have you ever seen a baby that demonstrates altruistic thought? They are selfish. Everything is about them and their comfort.

No. Children are "evil" as you say from birth because they haven't yet to conform to the rest of society's definition of "good" and they are too young to distinguish, and they don't know any better.
Human society made good and evil. It's programmed into you by the media, and parental influences.

Nah. I think children are born neutral. Sure, some kids are brats, but there are good kids that come from little or no instruction in what is good or bad.
