In fact the industries like factories produce the largest amount of pollutants, so to reduce air pollution the most effective way is to start from them!
As for individuals, using lead-free petrol and environment-friendly electronics such as fridge, as well as smoke less and burn less coal and paper, will help a lot! Imagine billions of people on the Earth burn less, how much pollutants can be reduced! Geez

an individual? you can stop smoking cigarettes or tobacco because it pollutes the air humans breathe. not only the smoker is at stake but also the passers by. It releases carbon monoxide.

use unleaded gasoline because unlike other types of gasoline or whatever you call them, have lead content and lead pollutes the air. you can also convert your car so that the gas you will put is LPG. it's cheaper than gasoline.

stop burning styropores and used batteries because it releases chloroflorocarbons or CFC. It destroys the atmosphere which contains O3. refridgerators, hair sprays and aircons also contains CFC. so minimize the use of aircons and hair sprays if possible. as for the fridge, you can buy a non-CFC fridge. =)

We should all vow to reduce the intake of fossil fuels to nil.

Not only it will reduce pollution and global warming, but it will also affect the economy of middle east which is the source of fanatism and militants, who are a threat to world peace. If they get less mony, they will produce less militants. :)

Just use cycle or hydrogen fuel.

May the world be at eternal peace.
