I either had a horrible spot come up or I got bitten on my face about a year ago and it became infected. The skin went dry and flaky on my cheek. Now I have been left with a very bright red, slightly indented mark on my face.

The doctor said it was a scar and a facial beautician said it was pigmentation.

I have tried Bio Oil, microdermabrasions, glycolic peels, cocoa butter, cocoa scar cream, special pigmentation cream and nothing has worked. It has really lowered my confidence because I wont leave the house without covering it up, and even then it is so obvious I have it there, on my face. I have tried dermablend and had no luck.

Can anyone help?

Just to note this scar is a pinky / red mark so I need something to make my skin tone back to normal. I am a white female. Its like a bad acne mark, large, and red.

there is a concealer from Benefit called Bo-ing and it's around £15 cheaper on eBay. it comes in three tones and covers everything. It's know as an industrial strenth concealer and works wonders.

I to have a scar and it covers it brilliantly.

I heard somewhere that applying whitening lotion on the scars would help. I have no clue if that actually works but the scars will go away eventually. In my case the scars usually go away after about 7 months.

you can go to a plastic surgeon and get scar revision, it won't remove the scar completly but it will remove most of it, but it will cost you. or you could try the scar creams they got at the store. my dr. once told me scars give you character.

There is a cream you can buy online, it's quite dear and I can't remember the name of it, but it's made of the slime that snails leave behind them.

I know it sounds gross but trust me, this stuff is amazing. I knew someone who had a major scar and it healed perfectly.

It really is the most wonderful stuff, it's a shame it's not very well known

if you visit a dermatologist he will send a letter to your doctor for him/her to prescribe hydroquinone cream, it's specially made at the hospital, but it's expensive to prescribe, so doctors dont tend to offer it.
I had it after I had my daughter, because I had darker patches on my cheeks, and it was the only thing that worked, it bleaches the skin. Worked within a week.
