Both of ym cats did this same exact thing! Talk about frustrating. But I beat them at their own game, I bought the heavier metal waterbowl with the spill proof skid on the bottom. They try to push it around now but for the life of them, can't tip it anymore because these bowls are made wider at the bottom. :)

2 possibilities. First she might not like the taste of the water because the new bowl gives it a funny taste, or the tapwater is treated and tastes bad to her. Or she does it for fun because she can. Get her something that she cannot tip over like a low heave earthenware bowl and mayby try her with bottled water.

I had the right comparable project. I used to place their water in a plastic tupper ware field and it continuously have been given knocked over, or they have been swatting it; it grew to become into so stressful!! So, I went to the puppy keep and have been given a ceramic, non slip backside. it particularly is the heavy duty sort and ever on account that they have not swatted and that i assume it particularly is too heavy to knock down. i do no longer understand in case you have tried that yet. Goodluck

She's probably just playing. I suggest getting a bowl with a weighted bottom - she'll soon get the picture that she can't tip it over, and find some other mischief to get into ;-)

my cat did that because he wanted a clean bowl and fresh water. I wasn't rinsing the bowl well so it has a brownish film on the bottom.

Mine does the same thing. I think mine is playing. After he tips it over, he bounces and frolics through it. When he's done, he licks some of it up off of the floor and goes about his merry way.
