on a first date be yourself though leave some things to mystery or until the next date, have fun, and make sure that you make the date the best it can be. try and make it where you the person wants to see you again, be polite, if you are the guy open the door for the girl, maybe pull out her chair, give her a compliment and maybe flowers and chocolates, its never wrong to be nice.

I probably don't. I get nervous and end up talking shite and far too quickly. But I do turn up on time and look nice for them... and I do relax eventually, most think I'm a bit of fruitcake.

be interested and a good listener. friendly but not overly eager. act confident but don't show off. be positive and ready to smile. personally, i love it if a guy smells nice. have fun!

always smile. don't talk too much about yourself unless he/she asks. don't be frantic about everything. relax. but really.... be yourself. if you pretend to be someone the first time, you'll want to pretend to be that person over and over, creating a lie.
