The Bibile is the holy book of the religion Christianity. Have you ever read the Bibile? What did you read and learn from it? Do you find the stories and the great words of Christ fictitious and boring? Maybe perhaps you think it is a fiction story because it teaches us the strange story of Adam and Eve. Well, this story may seem strange to you but if you think about it logically and scientifically, then the begining of all the civilizations were in fact due to the mating of the first humans to be born.
It does not matter what you read, whether it is the Bible, the Quran or the Gita (of the Hindu religion). You should know what they really mean to say and preach. There is science and reasoning written in them but unfortunately we are the ones who are stupid who do not undertsand a word of it. We must read them between the lines.
The Bible cannot be put into the reference section. It is a holy book and one of the greatest among other religious texts. Although I have never ever visited a library before, but if you ask me all of them should be kept in a well maintained, special room.

All religious documentation, that is permissable for public viewing, is catalogued under the reference section in any library: the Bible included. Strange to me considering that the reference section is usually reserved for Factual / Historical written work, because none of the New testiment in the Bible has been proven to be actual documentation and was compiled in the 4th century by the Catholics. Mmmm.... Makes you think, doesn't it?

The Bible will be found in the religious section at any library. Definitely not in the fiction or 'fairy tale' section ;)

Religious texts are not generally considered to be fictional literature. Fiction is a story INTENTIONALLY made up by the author for the purpose of entertaining an audience. Whether you believe the Bible to be true or not doesn't matter -- it is a compilation of historical accounts which the authors themselves believed to be true; therefore, it is NON-FICTION.

I read the Bible and I also read the DaVinci Code. I learned a valuable lesson--writers have really improved over the past 2000 years and both books belong in the fiction section.

most librarians should have read enough books to have enough knowledge to know that the bible is made up so either they put it in the fiction section or the bin.
