hold your stomach in tight for as long as you can. Give yourself some clue for when to do it again - like every time I turn on a light I will hold my stomach tight for as long as I can. Or whenever I look in a mirror or pick up a pencil or whatever. Pretty soon it will be so automatic you won't even have the problem.

You should try Yoga. It's great. There are excersises you can do before eating food like Brahmi-Pranayam and Anulom-Vilom. These are the best Yoga has to offer to flatten a bulgy and bulky stomach.
If you do it for 15 mins everyday you get up from bed (without eating anything), then within two months your stomach will become flat.

Try pilates. It's a lot easier than sit-ups. Upper torso twist: sit with your legs straight out, either together or split, then rotate your shoulders and arms from as far left as you can comfortably go to as far right, do 10 at first then increase by the week, also use weights in time, you can also do this sitting in a chair or standing. Bend and stretch: stand with feet about 1 foot apart, bend your right arm over your head and reach your left arm towards your lower leg, do 10 then switch to your left arm over your head. These exercises work well for your upper torso and your abs. Knee-to-elbow: stand with feet about 1 foot then bring left knee to right elbow, right knee to left elbow. Do 10.
