If he comes into the office make sure u have a pot of tea on or coffe already brewed say....
"we're just having one do u have time..."
"would you like a cup...."
"thirsty work fancy one...."
Something like that then they get chatting over coffee and see where it goes...

Look happy, ask a general conversational question, know the response, i.e., whether he likes the look of you/her, if he does he will respond positively and engage in a conversation, then she can ask the question, How about we go for a coffee some time...is today xxtime okay with you, I see people having time wasting conversations at work all of the time, and most of it is meant to be shirking off of the work load. she should just ask, before he finds a girlfriend somewhere else, I don't particularly like it when people already have a partner and then you ask them, all the effort for very little in return.

Wow, what is it with cute postmen in offices these days?!? Our one is seriously fit as well..........sorry, got distracted there....anyway, it depends on whether your friend has some sort of rapport with the guy or not. If they chat already, then there is no reason why she can't just go for it and ask him. If she doesn't talk to him, then I would suggest that you engineer some sort of meeting (maybe sending her a package he has to deliver?) so they can get talking and she can take it from there. Failing all of that, Christmas and the office party season is just around the corner, and a drink or three can work wonders on one's confidence....Good luck!

Hello Mr Postman, would you like to go for a coffee sometime?

I think a creative way to ask him would be to give him a "special" letter that needs extra care. Make sure he knows that this letter is really different and he needs to take care of it himself. Then, the letter could be addressed to him with a note inside asking him for a coffee date with all of the details. Your friend wouldn't even have to be the one that gave him the letter, you could do it for her.

This is probably really hoaky, but it would definitely be an ice breaker, and something to laugh about later on. Good luck to your friend.
