whether Chatuchuk and other shopping areas will be closed? Anyone pls advise before i cfm my flight.

couple of years back i went during the tsunami to BKK was from 28th dec to 2nd jan, the shopping areas were definitely open, they will not be closed, this is the time for them to earn money as lots of visitors are also going there for their holidays. No worries, enjoy your time there!!! if you are still bit worried, call a travel agency to ask them, they will give you more advice.

You will find the roads congested, especially out of Bangkok before the New Year holiday and back in after the New Year. Plus plenty of tourists to make it crowded for you. It is the holiday season for the locals so you find them out with you, the tourist too. And the shops will operate as usual.
