I realize that feeling anxious and nervous at times is human and normal. What do you do when you are alone and feeling anxious or worried for no reason at all? Where do you go in your mind to keep yourself sane? Where do you put your focus to stay balanced?

Jesus says cast all your cares upon me, for i care for you...Tried to visualize yourself giving all your problems to him...and when they start to come back give them to him again....Sometimes we can let go of control of things to give them to him..I always felt like if i don't worry about this and get this done..who will..but i have learned to trust him with everything in my life..and right now my world seems to be falling apart..but I know if he brought me to it..he will bring me through it...Hope this helped...

You can look at Yoga.....great way to learn calming and self centering. Another good thing to do is have a nice size fish tank (55 gallon or so) and just turn off the lights and sit in front of the tank for 30 mins, hour or what not and just watch. You'll get lost in what they are doing, how they act and the stress will just melt away.

I used the fish tank idea when I was a regional mgr and had 57 stores under my belt.......excellent way to have the day melt away.

Years ago while going thru a divorce....our priest said to me....

"God don't give ya', nothing ya can't handle!"

When I get stressed out....or " s h i t " is hitting the fan big-time in my life and I don't have time for excercise, yoga...etc.

I just repeat that phrase very slowly to myself and as often as needed to set my brain straight cuz then it comes into focus that this is all a ''big test". It really helps and I've taught this to my children who are now grown and they both still use it. It helps.

Prayer and exercise are great for relieving stress and anxiety! It also helps to write things down - like start a journal and put your thoughts to paper. That way, you get them all out and you feel relief. It really does work!

i have the same problem but i'll tell you what helps me. music. i write music and listen to music i like and it helps me to not think about anything except the music. i dont even remember that i was anxious.

so you need something similar. you probably dont have a hobby do you. or at least one that you can do at anytime. try writing or music or art or reading, anything really. anything that will consume your attention. then not only are you being productive but you also are being mentally healthy. good luck
