My research tells me, that students in the top five percent of some of our better universities are home schooled students. On-line courses also represent the home schooled, additionally, mentor-ship programs the manner in which society perpetuates itself is also a form of home schooling and I believe, that it is considered the best way to educate a child. What we need- is for the state to step up to the plate and better monitor the programs. Today, the parents of the average home schoolers are in the $40,000 salary range with at least one parent educated to the bachelor level , by contrast the parents of student falling through the cracks would require a more structure training process( again the State) on how to accomplish te task still the answer to your question is yes, because the proof of what you know is revealed in the entrance exams and essay writing skills you exhibit durning the admittance process.

What concerns is that is ideal for you and your little ones. take a go searching on the elements on line and contained in the dep. shops, see if there are different households locally that homeschool. Socialising may be an difficulty yet, bear in mind that once they go away college very few of their friends will be their age. Homeschooled childrens may be extra outgoing. On a positive observe - your little ones may have the great aspect about a form length of two - meaning they receives a lot extra artwork done than they could in college. you will discover today in the journey that they have got a issue. Why not try it out in the course of the vacation trips? Get some elements for his or her aspect, settle on what your purpose for the time will be (study the first e book contained in the set expectantly/ recognize shapes and colorations) and delivers it a flow! in case you locate it too a lot, you may deliver them to school even as time period starts. Be agency on even as that is "college time" and luxuriate on your youngster's early years. College admissions are generally based on test results from the SAT and ACT. GED, High school, diploma, home school certification generally do not fit into the equation, although its assumed every applicant has completed secondary (high school) before applying.
As for professions, it depends on the profession. Plumber, Auto repair, home inspector, Realtor, etc. all have unique certification processes. Waiter, grocery stock, security officer, janitor really depend on the employer. Nearly all government positions (soldiers, police, US Mail, census worker)require some High School diploma or GED
If you are considering a specific career that requires an undergraduate degree, check out the university's admission policies, usually posted on their web site

Simple answer: no.
More complicated answer: many colleges will accept homeschooling students, even top colleges. Actual professions (not jobs) don't look at your high school, just your post-secondary, so it doesn't matter.
The GED has a certain amount of stigma still attached to it. Best not to go that way unless it really does seem the best thing for what someone wants to do or their particular situation.

As far as professions, I don't really know at this time. Colleges, however, are RECRUITING homeschooled kids because they take their educations more seriously, and have a lot of extracurricular activities and volunteerism in their transcripts. Colleges look for that kind of thing.

You've got a problem there. The home schooling certificate is supposed to be equal, but too many untrained parents have let their kids grow up with substandard education; so much that most universities don't take them seriously. I suggest taking the GED as well.
