Yes you can , but it's better to take the Ibuprofen halfway through the hours between taking the paracetamol. Ie: take the paracetamol and then three hours later the ibuprofen. I was recently in hospital with pains and this is what they were giving me.

Take one lot first, wait 3 hours then take th other. Dont mix them, they do different things even though they are both painkillers. It is not advisable to take them together, however alternating them is a good way of providing overall pain relief. Also, you dont have to wait 4 hours to take another dose, if you are alternating them you only have to wait 3. It is very important that you can still only take a max of 8 tablets in a 24 hour period. Thats 4 of paracetamol and 4 of ibuprofen.

1st thing i'd say is that u must see ur GP if u considering taking Ibuprof & Pcm tgethr! It now depends on what u wanna take them for. U having pains or fever? Both are basically analgesics ie pain killers and both have antipyretic effects (anti-fever) and both anit-inflammatory just that pcm is for mild whilst Ibru is for mild-moderate so, if u in moderate pains or having fevers, pls do see ur Dr.

Ibuprof. U should not take on an empty stomach & pcm, u shouldn't take for too long cos its metabolised by the liver & can affect it. So, if the pain is bad enuff to warrant u wnting to take both, see ur GP.

Besides, if u r asthmatic or on warfarin, don't take it but if u must, use lower doses.

Hope this helps.

Not a good Idea to take them togeather , you could take Ibupofen and then when the repeat after so many hours is up you could take parcetamol and again when its repeat after hours is up you could take ibupofen again. These drugs have effects on the stomach lining and if you take too much it can make the stomach bleed. If you are having serious pain issues consult your doctor or have a quick chat with the pharmacist.

Yes you can. Profen and paracetamol do not interact. Careful though as profen is known to irritate your stomach, so eat something first.

Sometimes it's best to take the paracetamol first, then the profen about 2 hours afterwards. As you can only take a dose of paracetamol in 4 hour intervals, taking the profen halfway through helps create a more sustained level of pain relief.
