Yes, its fine. Its the cow's milk that makes them windy and gives them digestive problems. My old lurcher had diabetes and her "kick-start" breakfast each morning was weetabix with skimmed milk. She was very lactose-tolerant, however. The carbohydrate in weetabix is slow-release and so brought her blood sugar level up and kept her good until lunchtime when she had a little Chappie dog food. If its recommended by vets, it can't be all bad!

When we had our first dog the breeder we got him from recommended weetabix and milk for breakfast/supper and although he gave up the weetabix he never gave up the milk. 9pm on the button every night he'd be nudging Moms knee and pacing back and forth to the kitchen. Don't think it did him any harm, was a happy, healthy dog to the end, had a few quirks but then I could be here all day waxing lyrical....

Lots of people give their dogs weetbix or porridge for breakfast, specially in colder weather. As to the question - "is it good"? it cant be bad if vets do it as well.
It also depends on how many. (Being silly here, I am) If you give the dog half a box, then it may not be too good, only because it is filling your dog up. A couple of a morning is no worries.
Bet your dogs love em. Mine love a bit of porridge in winter LOL

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/XsGc0
A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

We tend to think of dog training as a series of steps for teaching particular behaviors. To teach a dog to stay in a particular position, you reward her as she remains in place for gradually longer times, at gradually greater distances, with gradually increasing degrees of distraction. Now, this is fine, training does involve teaching dogs specific behaviors with a step-by-step approach. This week, though, I’m going to discuss three mental habits that will not only enable you train more effectively but also make life pleasant for both you and your dog.
