I'm talking about red, pink, bright colors, not french manicure or really unnoticeable colors.

If you're going for that "punk" look.. Sometimes, CERTAIN girls can get away with it. However, most of the time.. YES it looks trashy/tacky.

Just like with any make up, nail polish can be tacky if used the wrong way. For example, the right shade and amount of blue eye shadow can look really good with the right clothes, but use too much and you'll look like Mimi from Drew Carey. Using simple colors of nail polish like pink, shades of red, and black, and it goes well with what you're wearing, then it looks good, not tacky.

I don't wear nail polish myself. Neither do most of the guys I hang out with. But once a guy decides to wear nail polish, I really think he's way past trashy/tacky so the color doesn't matter.

I think it all depends on how old you are and what look you are going for. If you are young you can get away with anything. If you are older I would say stick to the main colors, the reds, pinks.. etc

Yes, I don't like bright colors. Of course if my little niece paints my toes, then I let her chose what ever color she wants. She is 6 now and has fun with her favorite uncle.

No. But here is the rub. Guys don't notice makeup. You THINK you are getting all dolled up to impress guys. Hehe, we don't care. You do your hair, your nails, and hour on your makeup and wear $500 in clothes and you might as well be jumping out of bed and into a pair of jeans and a dirty t-shirt.
We don't care.

nail polish is not tacky or trashy--fake super long nails is another matter altogether.

Some colors can be pretty bold but I like woman that paint their nails. It show that they have a high self esteem.

I personnaly find most make-up unecessary. A women's natural appearance is more appealing than artificial coloring. Of course, good grooming and hygiene are paramount.

It depends on how sexy the hands that its on are. What color ar you wearing right now.
