Circumsion was a "symbol" of an everlasting covenant NOT of being saved!Circumsicion came before Moses and thus predates the Mosaic Law! Infact it in a sense has nothing to do with the Mosaic Law, it is only mentioned and prescribed in the Mosaic law so that the Hebrews don't forget about it!

Christians don't think that. What is your point? Paul rebukes the Jewish Christians for telling the Gentiles to get circumsized. We are to place our trust in Christ and not works or rituals. We are to have the heart and mind of Christ. Neither Greek nor Jew, but we are one in Christ.

Firstly, Christians never think or believe that circumsion has anythimg to do with being saved. Secondly, ancient Egyptians among whom Moses was brought up practiced circumsion as a sort of senetry precautions while the Mosaic law prescribed it as a condition or term distinguishing a member of Jwish religion. Finally, Christianity prioritized soul to body.

Christians don't believe it had to do with salvation; you're thinking of Hebrews. Circumcision is the covenant established between God and Abraham. It was meant to state the mark of the covenant.

lotsa Christians believe lotsa stuff

why do you expect Christians, as a whole, to be any more or less superstitious or intelligent than any one else?

the answer to your question, tho, is they believe what they are taught rather than reading the bible and understanding it themselves. once they believe something, it is almost impossible to get them to change their minds.

I dont believe in the trinity, it is unbiblical, but the chances of me convincing a trinitarian to change his mind are almost nil

peace

EDIT: you do realize that the Q here and your previous post are counter intuitive when read back to back, right?

I thought God said that for sanitary reasons. I don't know how some think circumcision is part of being saved. Sorry.
Thank you and God Bless.
