Hi i have LONG straight hair and i would really like a light perm just so my hair is wavy - is this possible?

yea...but you might get a different look from any given hairdresser...I personally like straight hair...my hair is wavy/curly...wanna trade? :)

You can get a perm if you want, but long hair weighs down the curl. So your perm won't last as long. Depending on the length of your hair you may want to get it cut. But I have to agree, don't get a perm, no one is getting those anymore.

if ur hair is naturally straight and u try a light perm so that ur hair is wavy it might not turn out the way u expected. try using some moouse and play with ur hair til you find something that can work for you.

As per the name, Perms are permanent (at least for a little while-it;s not just a wash out thing).
Don't perm your hair until you really know EXACTLY what you want --try this.................
depending on what you want to pay, you can go to the drug store (or the salon) and get CURL ENHANCING products like shampoo, conditioner, mousse, gel, spritz, etc.............
Give these a try first.

dont do it......i wouldnt if i were you....if you have straight hair i would keep it that way until perms come back.....right now you dont want curl or even a wave.....keep it healthy

sure.
just know that it's going to dry your hair, so if your hair is thin and gentle, I wouldn't recomend it.
don't go for very big curls because they fade quickly and you'll have to repeat the proccess very often.

How healthy is your hair? If its healthy then its a piece of cake. If not then get hair healthy then do it.
