How do I combine two jpeg images into one? I am trying to make a logo

Open both images in Photoshop. On one image use the magnetic Lasso tool to select the part of the image that you want to put in your logo. Once you've selected the item cut it and paste it onto the other image. You can edit the the details on that image .

to combine two jpeg pictures together you must first see the size of the pictures and combine both 1 and 2 pictures sizes for Example:
the Height is 480 Wide is 680 of first image and the 2 image is Height is 120 Wide is 120 ;;;;; 480+120=600 ;;;680+120=800
then go to The File and click New and write in the Height 600 in Wide write 800 click OK
