I have learned a lot, not just from the religion, but from the people that I know who follow it. I have had great and holy mentors. I have learned by their example and by their counsel. I have learned also by encountering God directly.

I have learned to be tolerant. I have learned to be kind. I have learned to forgive. I have learned what Love really is and by God's grace to live my life in a Loving way. I do not do it well, but I am on the way. I have learned how very much God Loves each one of us, no matter who we are or where we have been. I have learned to see the log in my own eye and overlook the speck in my brother's.

I was once an Atheist. It is true that He leaves the 99 to find the one that is lost. It has made all of the difference in my life.

I am a Christian. Episcopalian. Member of a Benedictine Religious Community. (an Oblate)

that mans' spoken interrupted words are not neccessairly God's word and that instead of putting God first and 'saving everyone' you live doing what is right and that is being fair and honest and above all, giving to others. Sharing love and giving energy. I am not a hater, but too many people I know, in society and family, are hypocrites and self-servers. I do think that organized religion is a good thing but at the same time, it is corruptible and dishonest. I simply feel that we are here for a bigger reason then we understand and it is about the life journey with all mistakes and accomplishments that help us reach enlightenment, the awareness we have to change for the good of others and do what is right.

My faith has taught me that EVERYONE is "created in God's image", therefore I am not justified in hating anyone for being what they are or in not considering their essential needs. It has taught me to seriously consider the notion of promoting the welfare of my "enemies". It has taught me that the instinct to seek control of my environment, through wealth, strength or influence is a trap that leads not to security but ever increasing fear. My greatest prosperity is found in the prosperity of others. This does not mean I should be naively trusting but that I should always respect the human dignity of others.

It has also taught me to be suspicious of authories and absolutes. The more complex the doctrine, or the more confusing the rule, the more likely it is designed for the teacher's benefit. True leaders are the ones who empower other people.

What I have learned from my faith are:

1. Honor your ancestors the lessons they learned dirrectly impacts our lives.
2. Honor is not handed down it is borrowed from our descendants.
3. There is Evil in Good and Good in Evil.
4. Life is to short to be angry, sad or depressed and it adds negative karma to the sould
5. All souls have a purpose.
6. Death is not a finality, it is a chance for a soul to evaluate it's actions in it's past life, make amends, be cleansed, and be ready to face another life to fufill it's purpose.
7. The truth is what you make of it.
8. Respect all being from the highest king to the lowest incect, at some point in their countless lives they were connected to you in some way.

My Passport claims, I am a Christian. However, I love to be a good human being rather than a Christian believer. I believe there is a God who created everything, but it is not based upon any religion. Love each other, share each other, help each other, understand each other, kind to others, that is what I understand from all the Holy Scriptures.

Religion has taught me many things, but definitely, not all in one day. I am a Catholic....

Religion, u could say, has been the satisfaction of living this life. Imagine not knowing where you would end up after death....
Religion gives me that peace... rather Jesus, is my source of strength and fulfilment, since I know that He will receive me with open arms to His eternal Kingdom where there will be everlasting unending joy!

Religion helps me to make decisions , since I wish to live a righteous life ...

Religion is the pivot of a person's life.... the reason behind how we react in a situation...

I have learned that all paths lead to the same destination. Some paths are shorter, but they all have value. Everyone is attracted to the belief system where they can learn the most for where they are at their place in time. Everyone is where they are supposed to be. I have also learned that when speaking to others, never try to squash their dreams and beliefs. ("Where is the love in that?") Spirituality is about love, and only love.

my religion taught me to make covenants of abstinance and chastity. but in the whole scheme of things my religion was more desirably than family. Until the day I was betrayed by those in leadership position, the truth was hidden that in all religions there is an ungodly participation of men and women who follow NOT God. Some are deceived because they follow people who choose not to follow God. check out genesis 19: and read the story of Lots wife and lots daughters. How wicked were they? when they conspired to Drug and RApe their own father? in the name of righteousness !!!
