1. Apply for a passport in your Foreign Affairs Department,
2. Apply for a working visa to Spain, and
3. Complete all necessary requirements.

I am not sure how the process work in India but I know in Brazil and US. There sre two types of Visa Turist and Business. (and others fiancee/student no need to get in details) If your employer is sending you in a work permit, as far as I know, The Human Ressorces of your company has to get all the paperwork and documentatio from you and they are responsible to start your aplication. The company must do because they are the ones that will testified that you have a legal job in Spain, the company will support you ith the expenses, you are going to stay there for certain period of time and then tha company will bring you back. Basically you are not goinf to became illegal in Spain. The company has to guarantee, you will come back, and you are there for the period of the job. I am not sure about India again, but when your company submit the paperwork, the embassy will set up a day for an interview. You must be there, do the interview, and that is it. After that you are free to go. Try to talk to your HR, any other employees that has done the same process. http://www.embassiesabroad.com/embassies-of/Spain.cfm#4202 try this site. See if helps
