Could any one tell me or give me an example of how 100 knots airplane speed is = to m.p.h. Now I used 100 knots but it could be any air speed u guys choose as long as I get an idea.

ps: I don't know if I spelled "knots" the right way...thank you.

100 Knots is equal to 115 mph. Or to make it simple 1 mph is equal to 0.86895149 Mph. Or 0.87 Mph.

MPH = Knots x 1.15

.................. nautical mile refereed as knots is the biggest mile ................ it is equivalent to 1 minute of arc of a longitude at equator .............. and conversion has already answered in other answers ......... used only by aviation and maritime vessels .
