The gays are no different then anyone else, and shouldn't be treated differently. Christians of all people should know this.

There is no hatred nor judgment of gays from me. Just as I also do not hate people who feel it is OK to slaughter the unborn in the womb. However, as a Christian I cannot condone their behavior because there are myriads of places in the Bible that state that both are wrong. It is the sin that is hated, not the person. God will be the one to judge and if he is true to his word (the Bible), judgment day will not be pretty for homosexuals, murders, adulterers, thieves, liars and those who reject Jesus as the son of God and the Holy Spirit he sent behind him. If you are a Christian as you say and you read the verses in the Bible that say homosexual behavior is wrong, what do yo do? Rip those pages out of the Bible? What I hate is that all of a sudden it is so important for 1 % of the population to get all of the attention. What Christians that have suddenly tolerated a sin that has been a sin since God created man have done is fallen into Satan's most vicious triage; the sins of the flesh, the sins of the world and the blind sightedness of each offered by Satan himself. May God's peace be with you and may he remove the blindness the world has caused you.

I don't hate them, the only thing I dislike is when they say what they are doing is not sinful, but really I've come to understand it doesn't matter if they try to justify themselves, or if the government says it is okay, because God is a sovereign judge and he'll judge according to the commands he set forth. I don't think Christian churches have it in their power to openly accept homosexuality (and there's a difference between letting a homosexual attend church vs. saying homosexuality isn't a sin). Naturally I don't think churches should pretend like homosexuality is an ultimate sin, we all have sin so the church shouldn't have to single-out sinners, but they shouldn't go in reverse and say that certain sins like homosexuality are perfectly fine in God's eyes.

Well, I am a gay Christian, and that is indeed possible despite what a certain person on here tried to tell me. In fact I think I might convert to Catholicism and even the Vatican admits there are gay Catholics. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I hold a gay relationship to the same morals of a straight relationship. I will not have sex until after marriage (or a commitment ceremony since I'll never marry in the Church) Cheating and multiple partners is always wrong. I know the Jesus I believe in loves EVERYONE be they gay, straight, black, white, male, female, born, unborn, Muslim, Jew... ANd Christians do not have the right to jude ANYONE at all. That is up to God, not us and they are just wasting their tijme.
Let me tell you, it makes me real happy that there's even straight men out there who see how wrong it is to hate homosexuals. I think the important thing is that we all live a good Christian life. And that is what I am doing so I know God will not send me to hell because I love a woman. People say marriage brings them closer to God. Well, I don't see how the genders of those married make it any difference. I know when I find the right woman who hopefully is also a strong Christian and I will in turn learn to love Jesus and God even more...
I could go on about this forever but I really need to go to bed. Peace be with you and thank God there are others out there who seek the Truth. Please pray for me and the gay community at large. So many homosexuals, like Elton John, turn away from religion because how they are treated and that is so sad. We are all children of God and worthy of his mercy.

I am a devout Christian, and I completely agree with you that there is hatred going on towards homosexuals. I don't ACCEPT homosexuality, rather, I TOLERATE it. As Christians, we are not to judge, that is God's job. My best guess about homosexuality is that they still have the same rights as us, but they will just not inherit the kingdom of God, as it says in 1 Corinthians 5: 9-10. Homosexuality is a tough subject. I just recognize it as sin, and not judge it.

We as Christians are to love others, no matter what they have done. We are to pray for them and we need to show love by helping them.
We ARE NOT, however, supposed to condone any sin, including homosexuality. This does not mean that we don't sin, but only that we are repentant and that we are FORGIVEN.
We are not to mislead others by telling them that sin, like homosexuality, is O.K., and that it is O.K. to keep doing that sin.
The Bible says NO SINNER WILL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. No fornicators, liars, effiminate (homosexuals), murderers, adulterers, etc. THIS MEANS ALL OF US.
Only by the blood of Jesus are we washed clean of these sins.
Perhaps the reason for Christians' revulsion of gays is because so many people (including Christians) are going against God's word by telling the world that there is nothing wrong with homosexuality or promiscuity.
You are right that Christians should not condemn the sinner, but we are to condemn the sin.

As a Christian , you should be aware of the incident in the Bible regarding the people of Sodom and Gomorrah..... the same sin of homosexuality was being practised by the entire country, Their sin was so rampant and evil, that God chose to destroy them by raining down sulphur from heaven.
The reason why Christians express hatred towards "gay" people are possibly because by their pervert and corrupt actions, they show outwardly that in modern days , people accept such behaviour. It is shameful ... imagine young minds seeing such behaviour and being under the illusion that "all is acceptable" in today's world.
Hence, by showing intolerance to such people, you are in a way protecting the future generations, who have such impressionable minds, that behaving as a homosexual is out of line and a very serious offence before God, indeed.

Sinners in need of repentance and salvation. And Christians are to love what God loves and hate what God hates. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. We should therefore do likewise. Homosexuality is being judged as sin in the Bible and Christians are right in doing the same thing. We should not hate homosexuals, but neither should we keep silent about their sin.
