I'm looking for a good digital cam, 6mgpxl or more at a price of no more than $250. I saw the Canon PowerShot SD600 and it looks good. Any other recommendations or would this be a good buy?

Yes, the Canon Powershot SD600 is quite a good little camera. And the next model (the SD630) which is identical to it, other than having a larger LCD and no optical viewfinder, recently won a European award for 'Best Ultra Compact'.
So, that tells me it would be a very good choice.
Any other Canon would also be a good choice (except for their lowest end cameras).

It's a pretty good camera: good image quality, plenty of features, and Dainty's comments are way off-base.
