Rephrasing your question to enjoy being single or enjoy being in a relationship..
There are pros and cons to both.. Relationships are a lot of work and compromising.. You are two totally unique individuals trying to make a life together, much more difficult than just making all of your decisions with no responsibility to anyone else.
Try them both and then decide..

I think it kinda depends on your age. Like I'm 18 and I love bein single. I don't even want a boyfriend and I'm not lookin. I'm just enjoyin it and havin fun. However in a few years I will probably be lookin to settle down and find that one special man to be married to the rest of my life. So ya know I think it just depends on your age and where you are in your life. I don't think that one is better than the other, I think they are both great just at different times!

isn't something like this different for every person?

i think it also depends on the person you're with. i've been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years now and could never imagine being without him. and isn't the point of dating to try and find your significant other (for most people anyway) you can't just assume that you are going to randomly find that person and then just get married. it a little more complicated than that.

but being single had its ups and downs just like being in a relatiionship can. but those little downs are worth it for the right person.

Well let's see, I am single by choice and have grown emotionally independant which has strengthened my confidence within myself. I feel better, behave better and have a better grasp of my insercurities, dealt with my closet and am happy to say that I don't have any skeletons hiding anymore. I feel that being single has allowed me to become a better person through failed realtionships and immaturity so when I do meet someone, they will not be faced with a multiude of issues that are not thiers and I know I will be giving them my full attention. SO... I am staying single until I feel I have met someone who could be my significant other. ;-)

Its best to fall in love and settle down.
You will be happier and healthier.
You will also have the advantage of the most awesome thing in the universe and that's making love to the person you love.
Just make sure you love the person enough to be in a committed monogamous relationship. If you cant do that, do not get married, for everyone's sake!

I am so glad you explained that analogy about other fish in the sea. All this time I thought people were talking about real fish. And yes, I guess the fish in the sea idea has to do with compatibility, such as sharks and seals.

when your single you are free as the wind. no worries people come and go. but when you meet the one you have to be sure thats its the real deal and not any bull. if ur in a relationship u r like someones private property and no one else may set foot on this land. if u singlee enjoy it until u r tied down.ok?
