I bought my husbands wedding band as a gift of my love to him.
I think that is the appropriate thing to do.
It doesn't matter what tradition is, it is what you both want.
Speak to your intending bride and come to some agreement that suits you both.

Many couples pick out their rings together. Today it really doesn't matter who wishes to buy the rings but traditionally the bride buys the grooms ring and he pays for the wedding and engagement ring. If the ring is a wedding band with large stone, then the bride would wear only one ring, taken off before the wedding, so it may be replaced upon her finger during the ceremony.

The bride needs a band. Even if it means she has to stop wearing the engagement ring to wear the band. But really, the engagement ring can't be so big that a tiny band won't fit with it.
The bride buys the groom's ring.

You are responsible for buying the bride's engagement ring and band...she will buy your band. Most of the time the couple will go to find rings together so they each get one they like. Sometimes they also match, but they don't have to.

Traditionally the groom buys the bride's and the bride buys the groom's. However, in this day and age when many couples are paying for their entire wedding themselves, many couples are buying the rings together as well. Talk to your fiancee' and find out if she wants to buy your ring seperately or if you could go together to get the rings as a set (alot of times you can save money this way).
Good Luck

The grooms ring is bought by the bride or bride's family, unless the groom takes on a family heirloom as his ring. My husband wears hid great-grandfather's wedding band happily.
As a couple you may agree to finance both rings. It is a modern thing.

It's usually the bride's job to buy the groom's wedding band.

It is customary for the bride to buy the wedding band but you can have a say in what you want.

My future husband and I selected the rings together. He paid for both of them because he decided to. I pay for some things for the wedding and he pays for others.
Sometimes when you do things according to tradition you are not enjoying the process of the wedding plans.
I think you should do what's more convenient for both of you regardless of tradition.
