Hi Confused,

You can make a moist cake in boiling water-I saw this on Rachael Ray television show, yesterday a lady from Canada (hiking expert) Rachael called her The Girl Scout of all Girl scouts. She made a egg omelett using a baggie with 2 eggs, onions, mushrooms, red pepper, & cheese then you squish it in the baggies then, lay it down squeeze out all the air & throw it into a pot of boil water, let it boil for 10 minutes, open baggie Pesto omelette.
Same principle with a box of cake mix, add cake mix to a baggie, add the eggs & oil-squeeze out air & throw this into pot boiling water I think it said boil it 45 minutes to an hour ( you can also view this on her morning television show at Rachael Ray.com ftelevision for 11/14/06. Kinda comes out oblong but seemed moist & after cooling you can frost it. No I havent tried the cake but the omelette this morning was very good. Good luck & have a good day!

You can try but it will not be very good. You need a conventional oven to bake a cake
