The Israeli air force bombed the homes of three Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
Warplanes and combat helicopters attacked two buildings belonging to Hamas commanders and the home of a senior terrorist from another Palestinian faction late Wednesday, after warning occupants to evacuate.
Military officials said the buildings had been used to store weapons or plan attacks.
The airstrikes appeared to be the beginning of Israel’s retaliation for a Palestinian rocket salvo earlier Wednesday that killed an Israeli woman in Sderot and wounded several other people
what the heck??? are you so stupid that you warn people that have sworn to kill you to leave their houses when you plan to blow them up! For crying out loud kill them before they kill you
I just had to get that off my chest.

Israel is trying to show the world that they are not trying to kill innocent civilians. They are trying to be respectful to the people that hate them. What a great nation Israel is.

well the israelis could just follow the palestinian way of doing it - i.e. strap a bomb to themselves, walk into a crowded cafe or bus filled with innocent people, and pray to blow up as many of them as possible so that they can get an extra virgin or two in the afterlife.
in my opinion, there is no such thing as a "disproportionate" action by the israelis. the palestinians continuously elect governments like hamas who will never agree to peace and whose sworn goal it is to destroy every single israeli citizen in existence. thats what the palestinians hope and pray for every single day. what could possibly be a "disproportionate response" to a people who have sworn to annihilate you? yet israel is the terrorist state because the palestinians have not been successful in their attempts - there are too few dead jews, apparently. i guess the only way israel is ever going to get any sympathy is if it just allows the suicide bombers to enter israel and the rockets to fall on israeli towns and make no move to stop it. then more jews will die, and the world will be happy.

The word "terrorism" is a loose word that has become a standard justification for itself. Both Israel and the Palestinians accuse each other of being terrorists and they commit terror against each other. This endless action and reaction will never stop because both parties want to solve the problem according to their own absolute religion-principled criteria which do not offer any compromise. These religious ritual hatred and mistrust on both sides can never be removed by another fifty years of meetings, conferences, agreements and undecisive wars.
And by warning them, Israel follows the moral cod of war as the forces it uses are much greater than the Palestinians' and Israel's target is not to kill the Palestinians but to destroy their warmachinery, while the Palestinian target is to kill the Israelis even if this costs them to kill themselves.

That helps keep them in the right.
Japan gave the US no warning about Pearl Harbor.
We practically INVITEd them to Nevada to see an A Bomb blast before we dropped it.
When WE went into Afghanistan and Iraq we gave them an easy 8 hours notice.
That's how the Good Guys work
Bad guys hide what they do and kill women and children for no good reason other than there were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I know nothing about this particular incident. But, one can usually twist the logic to fit their agenda. But in principle, if the Israeli military knew about innocent people living in these houses, wouldn't it be logical to try and minimise any possible civilian loss of life?. On the other hand, I don't understand why Israel does NOT target those leaders sitting in high positions inside and outside Israel, even in Syria or Iran?. They are the real guilty ones.

how nice of them to tell others to get out because they're going to destroy their home, ready or not.
18 people were killed in the most recent Israeli attack. 8 of them children.
would the US have pardoned the Vietnamese if they had fired a shell at a white Christian home in New York killing 8 children and 10 adult women and men in retaliation for the bombing of their own homes?
such hypocrisy.

It sounds like they gave the warning so that they couldn't be accused later on of being cruel. It's just a formality. War isn't always about weapons and killing...it's also about playing mind games and trying to wear the enemy down while covering one's own rear end in the process.

Gary, if that have been so, i could be with you and that i shall evaluate it when you consider that I wish it have been genuine. i seem very stressful for evidence that helps this becuase i individually do no longer prefer to have faith that they are only behaving as they have systematically executed via out history. inclusive of Biblical circumstances. No, I might desire to call it like I see it. Sorry.

When Israel declares war, I would agree with you.
I know that war is declared on them, but It just goes to prove thehigher ethical standards that Israel has

I guess they don't want any innocent civilians inside to get killed. Maybe they just want to destroy the weapons or something inside.
