I want to get my eyebrow pierced but I don't want people to get the wrong impression. Will guys/friends parents think it's unattractive and think I'm a "hXc" kid? or whatever hah.

even though you probably all hate labeling.. I'm kinda "preppy" if that helps with a better opinion.

imput people!! ;)

It will probably give some people the wrong impression, but for those who know you, nothing will have changed who you are, rather just slightly how you look. If people do pass judgement or make a comment about the piercing, you shouldn't worry about it because you know who you are. If they don't want to take the time to get to know you, then don't worry about it. If it will still bother you that people will make comments about it all the time, then you shouldn't get the piercing.

I am still the same person I was before I became a professional piercer and got 26 piercings. My mother still loves me just the same, and my friends know that the piercings don't change anything about me. I don't let comments and rude remarks get to me. I do things for me, not for others.

Look, just do what feels right for you. I'm 35; a mother of a teenager; and have 5 tattoos, for now, and I work with the general public every day. I get lots of compliments and I end up talking to lots of people because of them...yes, they are in very visible spots! I wanted to get my eyebrow done too, but never got around to it. You can't worry about what others will think of you because of whatever tats or piercings you have! If people find it necessary to label you, that is their problem and insecurities shining through...not yours! You only live once, make the most of it!! If you want piercings, get them. Just remember, in some jobs, they do frown on such things. So if you think that may be the case one day...you might have to take them out eventually. For now though...go for it!! Live life! Good luck!

To start off depeding on were you live people might get the wrong impression as they do with me.. I live in a cowboy type of town were everyone wears cowboy hats tight jeans and button up shirts and they see me walking around the mall in dickies pants skate shoes and clothing that is kinda lose and then they go right for the eyebrow pericing i have and i get a blank stare from them but its not a trendy pericing as of yet but i see alot more people getting this one done now a days and i see jocks punkers thugs ect getting thier eyebrow done..

I got mine done a couple of months ago and have always wanted this pericing only and im going back to get a second one done right next to the other one and i couldnt be more happier with my pericing as it looks good on me and certaint people and if i could do it all over again i would have done it sooner.. Dont worry about people and what they think if you want it done do it and screw everyone else that may judge you just becouse you have your eyebrow periced as thier is way more worst places to get a hole put in your body...

Don't do it.... not matter what impression you're going for, chances are you'll achieve the "I have a chunk missing from my eyebrow" look in a year or two.

My friend is a professional piercer and he says that 85% of "surface piercings" degrade... in otherwords, eyebrow piercings will eventually turn into an open tunnel in your eyebrow. where no hair will grow again and you'll have a weird scarred space where your cool piercing used to be.

I didn't believe it at first, but my sister had it happen to hers and it looks like a little skateboarding halfpipe in her eyebrow where the ring went through. Luckily her hair is light so it's not super obvious, but it's definitely noticable if she doesn't pencil it in.

If I were you I'd rethink this one.

Well for one, if you want it, get it. No one should judge you for something so little as an eye brow ring. If it helps, I have mine pierced and no one really cares. I work at a dance studio with small kids and their parents don't mind that I have my eye brow pierced. Thats just like a prep to be concerned with what others will think. Be you! Not what everyone else wants you to be.

Forget about what others think. This is about you and what you want. Piercings are so common these days.
I had my eyebrow pierced 12 years ago. Removed it after a year or so and you cant even see a scar (prob cos my brows got bushier).

my daughter had her eyebrow pierced when she was 21 and all people would say to her was that it distracted away from her beautiful face because all others notice is the piercing AND if you plan on finding a decent job for example an office type job I believe they have a difficult time taking pierced aplicants serious since they would be working in a public capacity and they dont want their employees drawing undue attention to their physical markings.

i have always wanted to get that done but i wanted to get a hoop not a barbell because i think it's so sexy but i've always been scared the needle would slip and i'd get stabbed in the eye. If you worry about what people will think about you than you will never get any where do what makes you happy and bump the rest.

I would avoid getting the eyebrow piecred just b/c it will totally leave a hole on your forehead - but you could get that piece of cartilage on top of you ear pierced that way you could feel like you did something a little wacky but you can cover over it with your hair

I have the same problem. I want to get it done. A lot of jobs won't allow you to have one, so I can't. Also some people say it doesn't fit my personality. But do what makes you happy.
