His crucifixion was when He was nailed to the cross, it is the same event. You may have been thinking about the Atonement that took place in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before His crucifixion. He suffered in the Garden right after he administered the Sacrament (Last Supper) to the Twelve. The next day he was crucified by order of Pilate.

The Bible does not give us an exact time for when he was nailed to the cross (technically the beginning of his crucifixion). It does however tell us that he died between the sixth and the ninth hour (between noon and 3pm) Assuming that his crucifixion began at sunrise... you're looking at between 6 and 9 hours.

That's a good question. You'll probably hear controversy about the timing of things, the different Gospels say different times of how things happen, but you need to understand, when John was writing the Gospel of John, he used Roman time, while the other three Gospels used Hebrew time. So there's a difference there, but it's not a contradiction. I hope that helps someone.
