well, i used to be very overweight as a teen, then at 18 dropped it all, left tons of stretchmarks on my hips, arms, shoulders, lower abdomen...i'm 22 now, i work out so i'm in good shape and i got the hourglass figure i've always wanted but those damn slivery streaks are still there. They did improve significantly over time though and they've always been silverish now they're fading a little to something closer to my skin tone, but still noticeable under bright lights.
The thing is u gotta moisturize everyday after the shower, preferably using something with cocoa butter in it, and do a whole body scrub three times a week to slough away the dead skin cells. They won't go away completely but will make them appear smoother and less indented....
Btw...don't be too insecure about it...my bf lovingly calls me 'his sexy tigress' and isn't a bit bothered by it...hehe...well i say as long as u keep ur skin soft, smooth, smelling good and well cared for the best way way u can, and as long as ur body is fit, nicely shaped, and healthy...stretchmarks don't mean a dam thing. if anything they give ur body character :)

I actually found something that works tolerably well. It won't eliminate them completely, but it will make them less noticable. There is a product from Avon with pomegranate extract that seems to minimize them. I no longer have access to Avon so I don't remember the name but it came in a purple tube. The only thing you have to be mindful of is that it needs to be used religiously, every singe day, and it isn't cheap. A small tube is thirty dollars, and that's Canadian dollars, so count on spending almost forty American if you want it. I stopped trying, though, because my boyfriend told me he didn't even notice them until I mentioned it. :)

no there are no creams to get rid of them, you can only prevent stretch marks but you cannot cure them. I developed stretch marks from lifting weights on my chest and arms, as well as my innner thighs (from squatting). I tried for 2 years EVERYTHING in the book : vitamin E, Cocoa butter, lanolin....etc. nothiung eliminates them but they do get better with time.
The truth is only some people get stretchmarks (which is caused by dryskin) people with naturally moist skin usually do not get them. That is why they can only be prevented> if u moisturize constantly u can prevent the dry skin form "breaking" which causes the stretch marks.
While people at first looked at mine (on my chest) very strangly at first more people understand it than u would think. EX. i knew a 22year old 125lb man with stretch marks on his thigh, just bc he had dry skin. My "slim" girflriend also has them....
Dont worry more people have them than you think.

Do not know of any cremes that work....only used Vitamin E, and also take it twice a week. The doctor said it give energy. My doctor.
Do not worry about other people...they are not living your life.
Be happy, that all that counts!!!! If you are happy, others around you will be.

Try using the pure vit E oil, not the cream form after you did scrubing on them. Best get them in the pharmacy. I tried it out, even though they don't disappear instantly, but over time they will improved.

some guys i know are grossed out by them.they hate it when for example if you had them on your lower thighs and you wore miniskirts that showed them.but i have them on my upper thigh and my boyfriend doesnt mind but he doesnt like me showin them to every one by wearing really short skirts.you can use tissue oil to get rid of them it works (johnson&johnsons) and anything that says bio-oil as well just ask at your local pharmacy.you have to be patient tho it takes a few months to work.they should be affordable price wise, nothing you have to save for.
dont feel too self concious tho.most girls have them!!!

if it just started u can prevent it from getting worse. i came across a pill that's used for acne, called accuzine. it actually worked on my stretch marks. the reason why is b/c of the ingredients used. u can only get it online, just type in the name n it should come up. it will tell u all about it n its ingredients.
