I go to a community college with this extraordinary woman. We have been friends for about six months now, and I have just discovered that I'm in love with her. She's 46 and I'm 34, should age matter?

No way honey. I'm your ladies age and trust me, I don't feel a day over 20 and probably never will. Age is nothing when you finally mature and get to know yourself.

You obviously have discovered the virtues and qualities maturity brings to a woman, and chances are she will find your zest and energy to be the harmonious wedge missing from her life! So go for it and don't look back. If you are worried what some people might say, my guess is no one would even notice there is an age difference. At your ages you are probably a perfect match.

You have nothing to loose by asking and maybe everything to gain. But think of the future. Anyone that you casually date in a potential marriage partner, you never know if you will fall madly in love with the person. She is quite a bit older than you and she will have wrinkles long before you do. Will you love her enough to overcome that? When she can’t do the active things that you will still be able to do will that bother you and will you be willing to slow down a bit for her sake. All this is assuming that you stay together and it not just a short while. It just a date or a short romance and she is aware of it then go for it with gusto.♫

Age should have no barrier if you truly love this woman! Let me give you a little history lesson...I was 45 yrs old (I am now 48) when I became involved with a 23-yr-old....now that was really an age difference, but he didn't care and I sure didn't care since he was interested. We've since parted....(he caved in to peer pressure from his buddies), but I don't regret it. So if you really feel strongly for her and if you can handle the outside pressures that may come, go for it. Good luck!!!!

I think that you should treat her with respect and maturity. So I would first if you have not already make friendly conversation. If that has already been surpassed I suggest asking her if she would like to get some coffee or go for a walk or call her. It really depends on your current realationship with her. Good luck and don't be discouraged if your first attempt fails women contrary to belief love persistance and perserverence.

Not at all. By all means ask her---she may have the same feelings as you but is afraid she is too old. I am 48 and if a relationship with someone younger arose, (depending on who of course) it would make no difference.

when u like someone, what matters most is what u think of each other not what others think of you. in this case, love matters the most not age. good luck!

age does not matter, but the only way to let her know is just tell her how you feel, even if she rejects you, your friendship should be ok as long as its strong in the beginning
