To take pleasure in things of the Earth such as gambling, drink, and drugs is to enjoy the fruits of SATAN. These things will pass and be gone, like your hopes of salvation if you participate. Any church that encourages such vice is clearly no church of God.

I am a very tolerant pastor as to what is aloud inside the building, but I think that is way to far. Why would a church endorse blatant sin like drinking and gambling.
You are correct in opposing this not religious.

Lots of them play Texas Hold em poker. I'm atheist and a poker player. I once asked on here if according to christians it was a sin for them to gamble. I got loads of replies saying it isn't, and that they play poker.

Do they really drink and gamble?

Sounds like a church that's loosened up and learned to have fun!

Please remember that bingo is a time-honored fund-raiser for Catholic churches and that Jesus turned water into wine for a wedding.

In moderation, those things are just fine. God never said don't drink, he said don't be a drunk. Smoking isn't frowned upon in the bible, and gambling is a game.
