My good friend just got proposed to, and I thought she was going to choose me as a maid of honor because we are fairly close. But the other day she said that she is good friends with this other girl and all this other stuff, and she hasnt decided yet who is going to be. Im kind of dissapointed because I thought I would be even her fiance thought so. Anyways can she have to maid of honors? because I think she is going to that or Im not even sure. If in the end she doesnt decide for me I would be sad. Anyways can ppl have 2 maid or honors?

I'm having two in my wedding (I got the idea from a friend of mine) - one is the maid of honor and the other is the maitron of honor, although one is married. I actually have a third bridesmaid who's doing all the typical maid-of-honor stuff cause she lives in my town... so it's more a technicality.

You should not feel bad if she doesn't choose you - even if she wants you as a bridesmaid that's a huge honor. You'll be in her wedding pictures that her and her family will look at for the next 50+ years.

The other thing to keep in mind is that your friend probably is going through a lot of stress right now (or she will be soon) if planning the wedding and trying to organize a million things - no matter what she decides to do the best thing you can do is be supportive of her and offer your help if you are willing to do it.

These days people do whatever they want at weddings. I didnt really have a maid of honour, I had 4 bridesmaids and my hubby had 3 groomsmen. We didnt have a flowergirl, but we had 2 pageboys. Really....dont be disheartened, dont forget that it is still her day, and I am sure you will help her in any way you can regardless of what you are.

Hope it turns out the way you and her want it!!!

People can have two maid of honors cause its their wedding and they can do whatever they want!

My cousin did the same thing to me and it totally hurt me but you move on.

One solution is if one of you are married then one can be the matron of honor (the married one) and one can be the maid of honor (the unmarried one)

SHE CAN DO WHATEVER SHE WANTS ITS HER WEDDING BUT I WOULDNT PUSH IT BECAUSE THAN SHE WILL FEEL PRESSURED JUST KNOW IF SHE DOSENT PICK YOU MAYBE YOUR HER FRIEND BUT NOT BEST FRIEND. MY FRIEND GOT MARRIED ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO IT WAS A VERY SMALL WEDDING WITH NO WEDDING PART BUT A MAID OF HONOR AND BEST MAN AND I WASNT HER MAID OF HONOR AND I HELPED HER SO MUCH PLANNING BUT I WAS ASKED TO BE HER DAUGHTERS GOD MOTHER.

If she doesn't want you in the wedding then just accept it. It's not all it's cracked up to be anyway
