Your eyes are: golden brown, green, green blue, turquoise, or hazel with gold or brown flecks.

Your skin tone is: brown with pink undertone, brown with golden undertone, pale with peach or gold undertones, freckled, or ruddy.

Your perfect hair colors are: deep brown with gold or red highlights, red, strawberry blonde, gray with a yellow cast (if you're older), or natural golden blonde.

Never use store bought box dye though! Those are known as metallic colors and almost never come out the color that the box promises. My suggestion is find a local beauty supply store that isn't exclusive to hairdressers. Possibly a Sally's? Buy your color and developer there. It's cheaper than box dye and will turn out much better.

If you decide on coloring your hair more than two shades lighter than the shade you have now, you need a double process, which means you need to pre-lighten your hair before applying dye. If your hair has been colored previously, you need to use a color stripper to pre-lighten. If your hair is natural, you can use bleach. Bleach is much stronger than color strippers, but more damaging. It will cut your lightening time in half though, and with a good deep conditioner and a little trim, your hair will be fine. Both bleach and color strippers tend to turn hair golden or reddish. To remove the brassiness, you would need to mix the dye with an additive, such as No Red or UnRed.

If you are darkening your natural hair, you can just apply the dye. If you are darkening previously colored hair, there are a number of factors to take into consideration. If your hair is dyed and has any red tones to it, and you wish to get rid of them, you need to use a blue/violet based dye. These are usually ash colors (light ash brown, dark ash blonde, etc.) Again, you can mix the dye with the additives mentioned above.

If you would tell me your eye color, skin tone, natural hair color/current hair color, and the color you're thinking of dying it, I can tell you exactly what you need get the color you desire with no error.

hai u can colour ur hair by yourself and it is easy to. you can use henna pack instead of going for chemical products. if you have a fair skin u can use Red or Burgundy shades for your hair for that u can use this henna pack for ur hair which gives you the same effect of the chemical products but u should use this atleast twice a month. the very first day u use u will not get the effect the more u use the more colour u get. remember to put 2 egg white and one lemon squeezed in the henna pack and keep it a side for 2hrs. the use of egg and lemon will make your hair soft.

All the best......

Yes you can color your hair yourself. Just to warn you wear old clothes and do it in the bathroom or the basement. It can get messy. I would go with a light golden brown.

coloring your hair is easy...I've been doing it for years. Just read the instructions on the label VERY well and follow them to the letter. Fair complexions look great in reds.

As a hairdresser, I think I'm supposed to tell you how awful it is to color your hair yourself. On the other hand, it's much cheaper and I honestly don't believe you could possibly do anymore damage to your hair than a hairdresser would. The color you choose should depend on much more than your fair complexion. You need to take into account your eye color, your hair natural color, and your underlying tones. There are two main color categories.

Cool Category:

Your eyes are: deep brown, black-brown, gray blue, dark blue, or hazel with white, gray or blue flecks.

Your skin tone is: very dark brown, true olive (most Asians and Latinos), medium with no color in cheeks, medium with faint pink cheeks, medium with golden undertones, pale with no color in cheeks, pale with pink undertones, or brown or bronze when tanned.

Your perfect hair colors are: blue black, deepest coffee brown, medium ash brown, medium golden brown, dishwater blonde, ash blonde with platinum highlights, salt and pepper or white(if you're older), or platinum blonde.
