Air force. Its the most intellectual branch, and that will help you later in life. The living conditions are 5X that of the army. Think , one bedroom apartment, with a nice fast broadband connection. ;p

ok number 1 mistake... DON'T JOIN THE MILITARY FOR SCHOOL MONEY!. Comeone man your joining a fighting force. Realize this. There must be some other reason your joining the military, and if there seriously is not then my suggestion is to just plain don't do it.
However back to your question. Really the military has very few jobs that would relate to that profession, but the closest would probably be somthing in the computer area like logistics or maybe communication specialist. You might consider the military band as well.
Ok back to school money... I'll try to give you some hints from my own mistakes.. Every MOS in the military isn't the same as far as money goes. Some mos's offer enlistment bonuses, some don't. Make sure you look into which ones do and which don't and don't trust your recruiter to do this work for you. Also realize that every branch of the military doesn't offer the same money for college. here is an example.
Although any branch you choose will make you eligible for the GI bill (which is approx 255$ a month for the months your in school) no you don't get it in summer, some branches offer you extra. The National Guard for instance offers you money from your specific state as well as the federal benefits. The Army reserve on the other hand does not.
I am from Wisconsin and The natinoal guard has 100% tuition repayment program, but the army reserve doesn't have this offer they jsut have that (1k per year for 6years). That could be a huge difference in money.
Last bit of advice and the most important. IF IT IS NOT IN YOUR CONTRACT YOUR NOT GETTING IT! Once you sign up for your specific MOS if there is somthing you want that is not in your contract (like an enlistment bonus) your flat out not getting it. Never take word of mouth from the sgt that accually sits there and signs you up. If you ask him about somthing and he can't show it to you in your contract then do NOT sign until it is the way you want it. I got screwed out of a 6k signup bonus because of this and there is nothing that could be done about it.
Good luck!

It's entirely up to you. Check out the military websites and look at all the things you could be doing in each branch. Pick the one that's more you. Check out the Navy. When you decide which branch you wanna join, go to that recruiter (say if you wanted to join the Navy...you would go to a Navy recruiter). You'll also have to take the ASVAB. It's a test you take at MEPS, but you can't fail it. However if you get a low enough score, you can't do active-duty. The ASVAB will give them an idea of what you'd be best at doing in the military.
EDIT: A book I would recommend you reading is called "What to Expect In the Military." See if your local library has it. It explains everything about enlistment bonuses & the GI BIll, as well as a whole lot others involving bonuses, benefits, pay, family, etc.
A lot of people join the military for different reasons, like traveling, money for school, benefits, etc...but what I think is really most important is serving, fighting for, and defending our country. You get A LOT out of joining the military, and not just the pay and benefits, but what you yourself will learn and take with you the rest of your life as a civilian. It will probably be one of the best decisions you'll ever make. I'm joing the Air Force.
Good Luck to you and your decision making.

I'm in the Navy so I'm definatley biased. But I'd say join the navy. All of the armed forces have alot of communication jobs. How do you think we all talk to one another. Like the guy a couple answers ago said if you into sound be a sonar tech. Radiomen (IT on surface ships and ETs on Subs) do alot of communications.
It's a good idea to look into what your states VA offers as far as school goes. Some states like Texas and Illinios will pay for all you school when you get out. Other states will pay for part or your education.

If you really want to do that stuff join the USAF but dont do it for school money thats the wrong reason if you need school money if you look hard enough you can find ways to pay for it but its the Air Force all the way they are more about technology stuff than any other branch.

JOIN the marines or the navy. They could train you in communcaitons and intellegence. In your country do they have a reserve scheme? That may be a way to join part time so you may study. If you are not sure see an defence force careers advisor.
Good luck and god bless you upon defending your country

Don't listen to those guys. Every single branch has mass communication people. Ever see any of the armed forces news networks? Granted these guys do it all though. Take pictures, news anchor, camera man, sound, radio DJ, ect...ect...
But if you like sound try sonar tech for the Navy.
