I mean this is really one of the most important thing for a gal, but what makes a gal say yes at that split second? What are the gals thinking at that moment, is she still rationale or she is overwhelmed by sensation? Or she is simply waiting too eagerly for the guys to propose.

I dated 2 years before he proposed. He proposed while standing on top of a synthetic rock in Boise, Idaho. I just started laughing. But then I said yes.

It has nothing to do with the proposal or the ring or the music or the setting. When you find the person you are supposed to marry, a girl just knows.

I knew he was the one the first time he kissed me. ;-) We've been married almost 2 years now and have a beautiful baby girl.

I would never say yes to a surprise proposal. Marriage is a very important decision for the rest of your life and there are a LOT of issues to discuss to decide if you want the same things in life. After some talking and having basically made the decision, it would be a nice bonus to have the proposal to make it "official" but to me it's really not that important.

Well it all depends on the woman that you are going to ask but for me I have to be in love with that person to just jump out right at the moment and say YES!!! to spending the rest of my life with that person. There is a way to know if its for the diamond or if its for the right reason and that's love its the way that she looks at you when you ask the question and the way they keep looking at you after the question.Good luck on making a good impact.
P.S if you want advice on impact on asking her the question be romantic if you are just like me poor to the heart then you do the home cooked meal with candle lights or probably in front of the fire or if you are unlike me and filthy rich then you can take her to a resort in the Bahamas called Sandals or any other countries there are ten others to choose from which ever one you want. They all have different views and scenery choose to your delight. I am sure you are going to get a yes but watch out for that person being all caught up in the moment.

After 8 years my husband proposed. I knew what was coming after he was compulsive about making the fire perfect. But, I said "yes" immediately because
1. I waited 8 years for him, so not eager
2. It was love at first sight
3. It was the right time in my life

I felt so elated and very rational. I wanted to take him to bed right away. Do it your own way-not in a sappy way you think she would like. And don't worry, she'll say "Yes"

Um, dude you are totally over thinking this. Every woman is going to be different. However, unless you are one of those new little tweaker freaks (God love ya:-), who likes to propose on Halloween at a haunted house; try getting on one knee. I do not know a woman alive who that would either completely melt or repulse. It will be a point of honesty for her, I think. If she really loves you, she will probably say yes. If she really don't, see man- totally over thinking it.Its a complicated issue. Anyways, good luck with it. Be happy.
