I need to visit uk, I am a new Permanent resident of canada (Indian passport) , but no job no big bank balance. But I have a good sponsor in uk who is ready to pay for the trip. Do i need visa ? if yes, what are the chances of getting it and what documents i need to submit from my sponsor and from myself.

My concern is if somebody in UK is ready to sponsor me, paying my trip and all the other expenses, Do I still have to show my financial position to embassy ??
And what are the chances of getting visa ??

You asked if a national of India needs a visa to come to the UK as a visitor.

Yes, you need a visa because you are a PR card holder not a Canadian Citizen.
As a PR card holder I am sure you have knowledge of how this process would be as you have done it before but the link

You need a visa to enter UK because you are an Indian passport holder. It should not be the case if you are already a Canadian citizen.
