Know the Word of God well, hide it in your heart.

Know that when we are absent from the body we will be present with the Lord.

Know that the Lord knows and doesn't leave unpunished those who are doing the persecuting.

Knowing that Jesus said:
"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:10-12

And
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death,
nor life,
nor angels,
nor principalities,
nor things present,
nor things to come,
nor powers,
nor height,
nor depth,
nor any other created thing
will be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I don't think we need to actively prepare for persecution. We need to stay close to God and focused on His word and our relationship with Christ. When persecution comes God will give us the strength we need.

I make friend with the Holy Spirit Who is in me. I know He is well able to advise me and help to come forth victorious in every situation. If God is for you who can be against you? (Rom 8:31)

I will pray to the Lord for guidance. I will trust Him and put my faith and hope in Him. If it is God's will for me to go through any type of trial, then I will trust in Him to get me through it or to hold me in His arms in heaven.
