You mean creationists, not christians...there are differences.
They deny it for one reason...it throws enough doubt onto what they believe, that it could shatter the foundation of their belief. There are some who rationalize the 2 things together, and while I don't agree with trying to merge fact and fiction here, at least they're trying to be logical. Anyone who believes something so vehemently, that they blind themselves to the truth, usually does it out of fear; whether its a fear of death (believe in a happy afterlife), addiction (do 12 steps, because you didn't CHOOSE to be an addict), accountability ("the devil is why bad things happen to me"), or something else.
Honestly, I'm just as confused as why they would rather come from dirt, than evolve from a living thing myself.

I don't know about other Christians but I have not seen any proof of evolution I only keep hearing how there is proof but stating that as fact without actual proof is not proof in my eyes, just like you would not believe my word as proof for God's existance, you say that there is overwhelming proof and if that were the case then where is this overwhelming proof but you do not even mention where the proof is let alone the source of this socalled proof, I'm very interested to see if this is really proof or just a unfounded statement as others before have claimed! Ok you have my attention now show me the proof, and I mean real proof not just heresay, or more theories I wan't solid evidence if there truly is any!

Evolution is not a hard concept to grasp. It's just theories that one chooses to believe or not. There is not a lot of proof as you claim. Besides, I rather believe that I am here for a purpose rather than having just happened to evolve from an ape. If we evolved from apes, why are there still apes? Why hasn't anyone witnessed this evolution? Some people say they don't believe in God because they don't believe in something they can't see yet they are able to believe in evolution which they haven't seen, either. It makes no sense to me. Until I learn of some actual concrete proof that shows evolution is no longer a theory, I'm going to believe that I was created by God.

Sorry to tell you this but there are holes in Darwin's theory of evolution big enough for me to drive a hummer through.
In fact, so much of the "scientific evidence" that was supposed to substantiate evolution is being disproved on an almost daily basis, in reality it should even be considered a theory, but rather a hypothesis.
How much do you know about evolution? Have you even researched it? No, of coarse not. You just like bashing people who don't share your point of view by pretending to know more than you know which is probably little to nothing.
I'd explain just how cause and effect and the "big bang" theory practically assert beyond the shadow of a doubt the impossibility of a universe with no God, but I'm not going to waste my time; you're the kind of person who doesn't even read the responses you get. Instead you type a bunch of demeaning questions like the poor quality human being you are, and then you sign off feeling good about yourself.
Have a nice life.

It's not for all Christians. Although I'm an atheistic agnostic now, I have no easier time accepting evolutionary theory now than I did when I was majoring in religion in a Methodist college.
The only ones who have trouble accepting evolutionary theory are the biblical literalists, and although they often are the most vocal, they are not necessarily the majority of Christians in the world. Remember, even Pope John Paul II said that evolutionary theory was correct.

Actually Darwin's Theory has been disproved by the scientists and archaeologists. Read the books Forbidden Archeology and The Hidden History of the Human Race By Michael A. Cremo. They have heaps of found archaeological artifacts that prove man was way more advanced in every way even millions of years ago, and they didn't look like monkeys. It is evolution of the consciousness or the soul not the body. For universal truths go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com

Understanding science is essential in order to refute the dogmatic mind. In science there are no absolute truths, no sacred cows, and no great secret to be discovered that will allow all scientists in a field to retire and go home. Instead, all hypotheses and theories are subject to modification and even replacement as new research and discoveries become available. Science is not dogmatic, and those who try to present it dogmatically are doing it a disservice. It is important to understand the basics of several scientific concepts in order to understand the nature of science and the method central to it.
A summarized format for the Scientific Method is as follows¹:
1) Ask a question concerning observations which have been made.
2) Propose a hypothesis which could explain the reason(s) for the observations.
3) Make a prediction (which would hold true if the hypothesis were correct).
4) Test the prediction.
5) Draw a conclusion based on the outcome of the test.
Note: Use of controls, replication of experiment(s) and publication of results are also employed when using the scientific method.
12 reasons to be a Christian
1. Truth in a world full of lies
2. Hope in a world full of despair
3. Life in a world full of death
4. Love in a world full of hate
5. Forgiveness in a world full of vengeance
6. Power in a world full of weakness
7. Certainty in a world full of confusion
8. Purpose in a world full of pointlessness
9. Peace in a world full of war
10. Order in a world full of chaos
11. Beauty in a world full of ugliness
12. Right in a world full of wrong.

The theory of evolution is still that, a theory. DNA is essential for life to exist but can only be produced by life. How, when no life existed, did DNA come into existence? And to think, the 120 million cells and 130 trillion chemical/electronic connections called my brain came from a single-celled algae...incredible.

I think if they give up on it then we would see all the other things that are not true too. Like God does not hate anyone.. But they say he does. Then they might have to think.. wait that means I am judging someone and I am not suppose to do that. Oh and that I should not be butting in to others lives like one of the ten commandments says not to do..
You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. ( you know they whole gays bad, all other religions bad thingy)
so on and so on. They just don't want to say they are wrong.

Because ignorance is bliss.
People who believe in religion need something to put their faith into, they can't believe in themselves for some reason, so they need something to believe IN and sometimes to blame.
No offence to christians and religious people, but there are no FACTS that God exists, no proof except for what is in your minds, evolution is proven, you can see it with your own eyes...
