We bought our shih tzu for $600 and they are from reputable breeders. As there were 7 puppies in all, all of them were sold fast because of the demands and location I guess but I would expect to get if for about $300 if not from breeders.
all the puppies are vet checked and dewormed before we got one and we have given a priority that they would look after the puppy incase we are on trip with the cheap boarding charge so we don't have to worry to leave the puppy alone at home incase of holidays.
As we understand the breeders expense including all the advices and informations given after receiving our pup, this money we paid worth spending because of the time and love they do to raise the puppies and consideration for new owners to help raise one.
There would be lots of things to do before considering of selling them like having them dewormed and having checked by veterinarian for health certification, so you would have idea how much to sell them too..your location and the selling price in your area would also be taken consideration in respect of other reputable breeders and owners.. We tried to adopt and waited for anyone who is willing to give us any small breed but there was no way we can get one so we had no choice but to pay the price, and it worth, we are blessed with one now..

We really like our new baby, he is adorable and playful.

good day!..

If both parents are pure bred and have registration papers with one of the kennel clubs they are probably worth about $400. for the males and $450. for the females.

Check out your area. It depends on supply and demand in your locality also. If the parents are not registered the price goes way down. It helps if you have at least one parent on site. Picture albums always help sell too.

Be prepared to take them in for a Vet check when they are born. Then you have to provide the first shots and wormings. All that is included when you sell them. People will also want a health certificate along with the puppy.

That depends on the quality of the dog, that of its parents, that of its grandparents, and that of its great grandparents. It also depends on the age, health, and level of training. It also depends on how well the dog conforms to the standard as measured in dog shows. Based on your question, I'm assuming that you are not a professional or hobby breeder so you probably don't know details of its ancestors. So, what I suggest is to look at the want ads in your local newspaper and see what people are selling similar dogs for there. Then decide on a price close to that.

my sister paied 250 then 300 for her pruebreed dogs and if people are smart they know the markings so if it isnt a pruebreed dog they will know...... but they go from 150 to about 350 depends on the temperment of the mother and father assuming you have both on site?

depends, if their are champions in the blood line you can charge a bit more, you can not charge more if they have papers.
take a look at the breed standards and see how your dogs compare. should be no more than a few hundred $.
but breeding is not supposed to be for money.

I do not think they should be sold at all. How can anyone put a price on a life? I hope you find good, loving homes for them, that's the important thing.

I wouldn't give anything to a less-than-reputable breeder. Spay and neuter all pets. Breeding is better left to professionals.
