Uncle Ben's rice. Frozen food items? The Ramen noodles powder is what has all the sodium, so maybe some alternative spices or sauces to add rather than the oriental, chicken, beef flavors, etc. Try hot chili sauce, peanut sauce, soy sauce, salsa, pasta sauce, worchester sauce, etc.

You can still eat the Ramen noodles just don't put the flavor package (where all the sodium & msg is) on the noodles. You can add spices like Mrs Dash to the water and noodles as you heat them or get some basamic vinager and olive oil. Other microwaveable alt., how about nukeing a potato or stewed tomatoes (the ro-tel brand is spicy and not too salty) and if you like any kind of bean's you can add them to the tomato's. Can you tell I've been on a diet forever?

I cant give you exactly what you want but ill tell you what i do. For breakfast i eat four egg whites (Eggs that ive separated the yoke from and throw out) with salsa. Its one of the best meals ive found and havent gotten tired of.Lunch i eat a package of tuna (herb and garlic),some kind of fruit: pears,oranges,apples...For snakes ill have a package of beef jerky. Then for dinner its more of a whatever i feel like.Ill make a lasagna and eat that for a couple days and then ill make a soup or something. Some tips: Sugar is your enemy.Drink water.Have healthy food in the house.Dont buy chips, cookies, junk food in general. If you have it you will be tempted to eat it.If you are trying to get in better shape you need to exercise. The weight will not just come off.I dieted for months with little change and i started running 2 miles three times a week and no joke i went from slightly pudgy belly to abs showing in two weeks. You can start with going on walks with your husband. You need a partner for motivation.Doing it alone will suck and you will most likely quit.Lastly give yourself a break every once in awhile.Go out and eat at your favorite restaurant.Take days off.I didnt just jump into where i am now.

Eat the Ramen. Use half of the seasoning packet or less. The sodium number gets cut in half just like that. I use about a quarter of the package (pretty much just enough to color it). My perception is still the same so it tastes mostly the same.

Try using just a partial packet of the seasoning, supplementing it with some other spices to your liking.......Quesadillas are great out of the microwave, flour tortillas and shredded cheese, micro till the cheese melts~you can even add canned chicken to it to increase the amount of protein.....Stouffers makes a line called Lean Cuisine (that came out when I was in university) that is really low in fat and soduim........I just ate two of them, as I wasn't on a diet and one didn't fill me sufficiently (but I'm a guy); there is always the PB&J sandwiches, there are a bunch of new foods that weren't available to us when we were in college.....you guys have it better now, we didn't even have microwaves back then.........Cruise through the grocery store and check out every aisle and you'll see what I mean.......
