Maybe your 15 y.o. refuses because you and your other children so adamantly adore Santa. Being a teen is all about being a rebel, and sounds like he/she is rebelling against the group, in this case the family.
Not to mention that "worshipping" a mythical character is a little obsessive, don't you think? Your kid knows he doesn't exist, and to "pray" to something fictitious is a little much. Santa's great....I agree, but really only for kids....right????

Yep sorry your little 15 year old no longer believes. You could ask him to at least pretend to believe for his younger siblings. That is what I do for my 12 year old. He even sits with his little brothers ( 3 and 1 1/2) wiht Santa so they won;'t be scared. Good luck.

Yes you know that thing I'm too old to believe in Santa "No such thing"
Just pull he/she aside and explain that the little one still believe and it's for them to enjoy as they did for many years. So lets keep it a secret for them.
But yes normal teen now they know everything : )........another normal teen thing

It is normal behavior for anyone over 7 or 8. Why do parents think it is okay to decieve their children?

For any teen, it becomes pretty normal to reject flatout anything his parent pushes on him. Sorry, might just ask him to refrain from ruining it for the littles.
Do you mean like alter-worship?

yes. whatever it is that you hold dear or even like, show interest in, or praise your teenager will dislike. thats their way of showing their independence. he is trying to break away from the family and become a man not a child anymore. its normal.

We told our children santa was not real from the beging, however that some children believe so not to tell, why lie about a fat man that comes into your house while you sleep.
