Make sure that it is just one swollen lymph node. It is probably an infection, but there is a risk that it could indicate something more serious.
My son had a swollen lymph node on the left side of his neck. Unknown to us he also had swollen nodes under his armpits and groin area.
A biopsy was taken from his neck, but by than we already knew he had cancer. His cancer had originated in the abdominal cavity and metastasized through the lymph nodes to the rest of the body.
So, do not delay. It is probably not cancer , but you never know. Check it out.

Depends on what is causing it. Swollen lymph nodes can be a sign of something serious or the cause of to much caffeine, with much in between. You need to see a doctor asap and get an idea on what is causing this. Good Luck!

GET IT CHECKED. If anitbiotics don't reduce it, it could be something else. It could be nothing, in most cases it is nothing. Lymph nodes swell for various reasons. But, I started out with one swollen lymph node.
Here's the site with good info, and you can check for other symptoms too.

Keep on your doctor until you get an answer.

First, make an appt w a dr to find out where & what infection you have. Then, saute some onions with garlic and chow down, because these foods help cleanse your blood. Next, ramp up your immune system by taking some echinacea and 6 drops oil of Oregano in a glass (8 oz) of water. Then gently massage and vibrate the swollen gland, while waiting for your appt.

swolen lymph nodes are not necessarily cancer. They can become swolen for many reasons, some as benign as a cold. Most often, they'll reduce themselves after the infection is gone.
