I'm not a dietician but I can tell you what worked for me a few months ago (I'm 31 and have had a baby, so it is even harder for me to lose weight!).
Every morning I got up and walked for 30-45 minutes. I increased my time to an hour whenever I felt like I had the energy. Then I came home and ate a bowl of Cheerios. It is important to exercise in the morning on an empty stomach because it allows your body to burn fat faster. It also helps to exercise more than 20 minutes at a time because after 20 minutes your body goes into fat-burning mode. Before that you're just burning protein.
Then, throughout the day I would keep my caloric intake to between 1300 and 1600. Please note that this is OK for a short period of time but you should not reduce your intake dramatically for long periods of time without consulting your doctor! At night I rode my stationary bike for 30-60 minutes. I tried not to eat any foods with more than 35% fat calories.
I know, this seems horrible... but I lost 20 pounds in less than a month--the fat just melted off my hips, after 2 weeks I could visibly see a real difference, my clothes all fit better.
It is important to note that this is only a good solution for losing weight over a short period of time and should not be pursued long-term or used to lose more than 20 pounds or so at a time (continuing to exercise and lose weight gradually is OK, but make sure your caloric intake is appropriate in the long term). Losing too much weight too fast (like bariatric surgery patients often do) can cause damage to your muscle fibers. This includes your cardiac (HEART) muscle!
Good luck! :)

Check out what's known as the "the Master cleanse Diet." You will not only lose at least 10 pounds in a week, but you will clean out you entire body of toxins.
It's kind of wierd, but it works. Basically you fast for 7 days. At night you drink Senna tea, which is a tea that is an all natural laxative. This loosens your bowels and cleans off the crude, so to speak. In the morning, you drink a quart of hot sea salt water, which takes the crude and basically flushes it all out of you. During the day, you do not eat any food, but rather drink a mixture of water, lemon juice, organic grade b maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. The syrup provides your body with all of the nutruients it needs to live. The cayenne pepper speeds up you metabolism. When ever you are hungry you just drink the mixture.
It sounds really hard, and it takes a lot of control, but after day 3, you will feel incredible. This cleared not only my acne, and my insides, but cleared my head a lot too.
The recipe and exact directions can be found online.

20 Pounds is not difficult.
You need to control yourself on your meals. Eat healthy, Dont over eat. Extreme way is to starve yourself (e.g only 2 medium meals a day)
Once you get use to half empty stomach, you do exercise to tightens ur abs, that way, you get full easier on meals. therefore u eat less and less.
And exercise.
