Yes you should, you should also be able to put a pill in the back of a dogs throat and have them swallow it. I am happy I am not your doggie. :)

Why do you think the dog is sick. The breeding central
teams teach several important courses at pro grooming dog
shows, the most needed is the puppies are fun course.
I am not saying your vet does not have dogs on the agenda
though at the kennel headquarters we wind up with the world's
greatest champion dogs, and tell over 70% of new pet owners
that the real food issue is have you done your homework. A
general pomeramian is very popular around farms work and
they eat tons of soups, boiled rice or sausage foods. This
may be the familiar food, check back on the lineage first and
before you make the dog a house pet, get used to its pedigree.

if it is liquid medicine then use a syring with out a needle of course but you can buy one at the store that are used on a baby, put the syring in the back of the jaw and squeeze it in fast that way it will automatically swallow it,,, if it is a pill then you need to take the pill and push it to the back of the throat and the dog will swallow it if you push it far enough i know this sounds cruel but it will work and it dont hert them that is what i had to do with alot of my dogs that were sick, I hope this helps and make sure that the dog is at least drinking if not then force it down also,,, good luck and hope your pup is ok

Changing a dog's food from dry to can almost always causes diahreah. If you do change your dogs diet do it slowly! A mixture of both for a while, etc. Also, dogs love peanut butter, cheese, other treats like that. Put the pill in something like that and they eat it up every time!

You can try it. When my dog was sick they suggested either boiled chicken and rice, or boiled hamburger, drained and rinsed well, and rice. This provides a bland food diet and something they seem eager to eat. As far as the pills try putting it in PB, or using pill pockets, you can get them from some vets or from petsmart. My vet also has a pill popper, it shoots the pill into the throat. I just push the pill in far enough he doesn't swollow it.

Did you get the pup from a local breeder? If you did, you need to call them and tell them the pup is sick. Even if you had it shipped you need to contact the breeder, or if it came from a pet store. You may have to take him to the vet so he can give him an IV. What did the vet say was wrong with him?

I always put my dog's medicine in Braunswager (I probably spelled that wrong). But you can stick a pill in that and shape it in a little ball. Dogs love that stuff.
