Everyone seems to have such a cheery attitude,

they don't know what it is to suffer. How can they be so blind to the torment life is to some?

And this is bad how?

It is quite possible to empathise with people without having to go through their traumas, why wish more suffering in this world?

I had to watch my mother die in my own home. So yes, I know what it is to suffer, but I also know that life isn't all about suffering, death is part of life and the way I see it, the good outways the bad and even if it doesn't, why torture yourself? I used to be such a pesimist, but I got so depressed that I thought of suicide and then I realized, if life is so short, shouldn't I live as much as I can, as happy as I can? Thus MY cheery attitude!

Everyone seems cheery? What Happy Candy Land do you live in?

Human kind is basically about being miserable and trying to live it so you are the least miserable you can possibly be. Worst thing ever for me is in still (and will always be) dealing with the loss of someone who ended his own life. And his parents in dealing with losing their child, only child at that. Some do indeed know what it is to suffer.

I gave up my cheery attituder when the doctor's told me to stifle my rape on psycho active drugs so I could not wake. They were physician prescribed. What's worse is that I was pregnant and after the miscarriage a doctor said my talking about it caused more meds to be prescribed me. They have hospital records etc. Instead I tell the rapist who I live with in a loving manner which is honest "let me make you good as useless: at least while I am here-I am more able bodied that way" too bad for you. He does but say nothing. I am forced to live with him b/c of finances. I am happy and he will be old, and useless

Are you saying that you are the only person who truly know suffering?

Please be assured that many many of us have had suffering and/or days of misery in our lives but we also have decided NOT to let those days stop us form enjoying the good days.

I have travelled over seas and have seen people whose lives are "misery" compared to you. But they are still happy because they find things in life to be happy about.

May be you should too.

A Quote by an indigenous Australian - "If you woke up this morning, you are having a good day"

Have a nice day

Most of us just don't dwell on it! We have all suffered days of misery we choose to be cheery cause life is way to short to be depressed about things

If you are genuinely suffering from depression see a doctor.
Otherwise snap out of your self pity by doing something useful with your life instead.
I've spent 30 years working with people who have suffered in many different ways and I've had my fair share of suffering. Unfortunately most of us don't have the luxury of being able to whine about our problems because we're too busy dealing with them....
And do you know? once you're over them they are gone - if you want them to be.

I'm assuming you are not cheery, but believe me other people have their own problems and must deal with them you are posting on the internet so i assume you can access the internet, this at its lowest means you can access a public internet library, you are now quite priveliged (sp?) i also assume that you are not currently dying again you are better off than other people.
I read from your other posts that you have a bad skin condition and people don't talk to you, now i am not saying i'm not better off than you but I may actually be worse off but people who are worse off can still be cheery.
You make me sick you pathetic little person and get some willpower!!

Look sweetie I appreciate the invite to the pity party but it looks like you have all the support you need in yourself. I almost died a few years ago so yes I know what it is to suffer and be miserable. Get up and move on. Either you realize your worth to God and reflect that to others or you continue to wallow in your misery until you drown in it.

I realize that you are bad off but if you continue with this downward spiral you wont end up anywhere except in your own private hell. Try thinking positive for a change and give life another chance. I realize things haven't been fair for you but a positive attitude can change your whole out look on life. Good luck and keep looking for that doctor and that cure for your problem. Its out there don't give up or in. Peace.

Every one will faced miseries in life. No one can escape miseries. But one may not suffer. It is on one's mindset how he faces the miseries. Suffering is caused by how one accepts his sufferings.
In a Bengali poem Rabindrath Tagore says :
"Duhkhero timire jadi jbole tabo mongolo alok tobe tai hok."
i.e.- If your blessings shines in the darkness of miseries then let it be.
It is on the outlook. So lets accept miseries, but not suffer.
